You Can Always Say 'No'

from Where is Home? by Irrevocable

about

I've known people who gave in to peer pressure and lost their identity while trying to fit in. Choosing to follow a straight-edge path lost me some acquaintances while growing up, but I didn't mind. I'm happy with the handful of friends I have left, and some I met along the path I chose. - L

lyrics

You’ve fallen and wasted these chances again.

I try to understand the way you live,
The way you follow their steps and walk the way they did.
I try to understand the need to be in the mold they set
It makes no sense.

Are you tired? You must be tired.
You can always say “no”.

You can always say “no, there’s nothing for me here”

“There’s nothing for me here”

I take a step in a day of your life, but there’s nothing for me here.

And I do this for myself.
